Distribution, Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Aegilops tauschii Coss. in Major Wheat-Growing Regions in China

چکیده
Aegilops tauschii Coss. is known as a noxious grass weed seriously affecting wheat quality and yield. To investigate its present occurrence in fields the potential genetic diversity of China, filed survey covering major production regions was conducted during 2017–2019. Seeds different Ae. populations collected from were analyzed with Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) technique. Results showed that occurring each provinces surveyed varied frequency ranging 0.91% Sichuan Province to 92.85% Henan Provinces. Eighty alleles size 98 bp 277 detected 192 17 SSR markers. tauschii, this study, exhibited moderately high level diversity, differentiation, deficient heterozygosity limited gene flow. Compared other provinces, Hubei possessed relatively low diversity. Dendrogram analysis distance did not seem be related geographic distribution. Additionally, STRUCTURE suggested China can divided into three groups, which further supported by cluster analysis. Among solely 7% total variation detected, whereas majority (67%) occurred among within same group. Undoubtedly, such information will help us better understand population relationships spread provide new perspective for integrated management.

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
SNPing Aegilops tauschii genetic diversity and the birthplace of bread wheat.
Towards the end of World War II, McFadden & Sears (1946) published a lengthy and classic paper on the origin of hexaploid or bread wheat. In the appendix to this paper they acknowledged that Kihara (1944) had also independently identified Aegilops tauschii (syn. Ae. squarrosa, Tritcum tauschii) as the D-genome donor of bread wheat. Since then, there have been many studies on the taxonomy, biolo...
متن کاملFlowering Time Diversification and Dispersal in Central Eurasian Wild Wheat Aegilops tauschii Coss.: Genealogical and Ecological Framework
Timing of flowering is a reproductive trait that has significant impact on fitness in plants. In contrast to recent advances in understanding the molecular basis of floral transition, few empirical studies have addressed questions concerning population processes of flowering time diversification within species. We analyzed chloroplast DNA genealogical structure of flowering time variation in ce...
متن کاملHypersensitive Response-Like Reaction Is Associated with Hybrid Necrosis in Interspecific Crosses between Tetraploid Wheat and Aegilops tauschii Coss
BACKGROUND Hybrid speciation is classified into homoploid and polyploid based on ploidy level. Common wheat is an allohexaploid species that originated from a naturally occurring interploidy cross between tetraploid wheat and diploid wild wheat Aegilops tauschii Coss. Aegilops tauschii provides wide naturally occurring genetic variation. Sometimes its triploid hybrids with tetraploid wheat show...
متن کاملDevelopment of diversity array technology (DArT) markers for assessment of population structure and diversity in Aegilops tauschii
Aegilops tauschii Coss. is the D-genome donor to hexaploid bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) and is the most promising wild species as a genetic resource for wheat breeding. To study the population structure and diversity of 81 Ae. tauschii accessions collected from various regions of its geographical distribution, the genomic representation of these lines were used to develop a diversity array t...
